Red Shouldered Hawk, (Buteo lineatus), Eco Pond, Everglades National Park, FL

            We were walking along the perimeter of Eco Pond when we stumbled upon this hawk. It was maybe 10 feet away from us on a lower branch. Obviously we stopped and observed this young hawk for a bit.
