E402.102 Trenitalia | ÖBB NightJet 235 / 40235 | Manarola (19480)

            Am 1. September 2024 ging es ein letztes Mal hinauf zu dem Aussichtspunkt mit dem traumhaften Blick auf den Bahnhof Manarola und das azurblaue Mittelmeer. Grundsätzlich war das primäre Ziel des Urlaubs bereits ein paar Tage zuvor erreicht worden, aber ein weitere Aufnahme des NightJets 235 / 40235 aus La Spezia nach Wien bzw. München lockte mich nochmals in die heiße Septembersonne. Auch an diesem Tag erklang die bereits mehrfach hier erwähnte Bahnhofsdurchsage: "Attenzione treno in transito al binario due allontanarsi dalla linea gialla!" und kündigte folglich die Durchfahrt des ÖBB-NightJets an.
Gespannt wartete ich auf den Moment, als der Zug aus dem Tunnel bog und zu meiner großen Freude war die im neuen blauen Farbkleid lackierte E402 102-4 vor einem komplett blauen Nachtzug eingeteilt. Es hatte sich also erneut gelohnt und so konnte voller Zufriedenheit die Heimreise angetreten werden.

On September 1, 2024, I went up to the viewpoint one last time, offering a breathtaking view of the Manarola train station and the azure-blue Mediterranean Sea. In principle, the primary goal of the holiday had already been achieved a few days earlier, but the prospect of another shot of the NightJet 235 / 40235 from La Spezia to Vienna or Munich enticed me back into the hot September sun. Once again, the station announcement I’ve mentioned several times before echoed: "Attenzione treno in transito al binario due allontanarsi dalla linea gialla!" (Attention, train passing on platform two, step away from the yellow line!) and thus announced the passage of the ÖBB NightJet.
I eagerly awaited the moment when the train emerged from the tunnel, and to my great delight, the newly repainted blue E402 102-4 was leading a fully blue NightTrain. It had definitely been worth it, and with great satisfaction, the journey home could begin.
