Sudeley Castle and the Queen's Garden, Gloucestershire. England

            The history of some of the most powerful Kings and Queens of England threads through Sudeley's past, but two disastrous sieges in the English Civil War in the 17th century reduced it to ruins. Partially restored as a family home in the early 19th century the spectacular gardens were planned around the remaining picturesque ruins.
