Morteratsch - a photo on Flickriver

Morteratsch

            The day before was a rainy day with fresh snow above 2700 m. In the night the sky cleared and fog formed in the valleys.

However, on the webcams we saw that it was sunny above an altitude of 1900 m, so we drove past Pontresina in the direction of the Bernina Pass. Here we were treated to a great view of the Morteratsch Glacier.

The snow and ice above the colorful larch trees created a majestic landscape.
