Adalbert Stifter Sullenly Watching the Vivid Bustle at his Feet

            Adalbert Stifter was an Austrian Biedermeier novelist, whose work was admired by many and disliked by many others. The monument is located in Linz, the capital of Upper Austria, where he spent the last 19 years of his life and died in 1868.
