BLE 909 @ Saginaw, MN - a photo on Flickriver

            I’m not the only one that’s had trouble across the US in hopes of getting fall colors in the first week of October, as most of Iron Range and hill of Duluth was mostly green with a few shades of color but no where near peak trackside. 

On the final day of my three day trip to former Missabe, train U7168109 from UTAC (Fairlane United Taconite) heads south on the CN Missabe Sub through Saginaw, MN, passing the historic and rather decaying 132 year old DMIR depot with a trio of SD40T-3s. BLE 909 leads DMIR 400/406 as they continue their trip for Canadian National’s Proctor Yard and eventually Dock 6 in Duluth, MN before meeting a NB Herzog train at Coons just a mile south of here. Well, I finally stepped into the full frame world as this was my first full sun chase with my new Canon 6D Mark II that I purchased off of my buddy Rollin Nolan and safe to say, I’m loving the results.
