DL 2045 @ Pocono Summit, PA - a photo on Flickriver

DL 2045 @ Pocono Summit, PA

            After completing the climb up Mt Pocono, Delaware & Lackawanna train PO-74 skirts along Pocono Summit Lake with a five pack of Alco variants. At the helm, is DL 2045 (Ex BCOL M420W) with a DL C425 (Ex PRR), a Wabash painted C424, a patched out LMX M630 (ex PGE) and finally a DL C636 (Ex PC) trailing. The train is coming into the town of Pocono Summit, PA where they would drop off half of their train of mostly grain in town at Ardent Mills before making their turn back to Scranton Yard at Cresco, PA further down the line. This was my first time on the DL and second day that week, finally getting the M420W in the lead was the icing on the cake. Thanks to fellas at the DL for making this happen…class act! Also if anyone has a story on the “Wabash” unit I’d love to know, I can only find that it’s ex NDEM..
