The John Jacques Railway Museum, Shackerstone

            John Jacques M.B.E (1925-2014) worked on the railway for 50 years. After his retirement he set up the museum at Shackerstone station on the Battlefield Line, two rooms which are filled with over 3,000 items amassed during his career. 

John was awarded an MBE for his heritage work in 2003 and curated the museum well into his 80's.

Entry to the museum in the main station building at Shackerstone is free of charge.
