Beware the Thistle! - a photo on Flickriver

            Spear Thistle (Cirsium vulgare) is unfriendly on four counts. First it is a declared weed; second, it grows prolifically in paddocks and bush in southeast Queensland; third, it grows in my garden; and four, it drew blood three times when I tried to photograph it. Still, it makes a striking image.
