Tram 260 at York Place terminus, Edinburgh.

Edinburgh Trams 260 is seen waiting to depart from York Place for Edinburgh Airport during the second lockdown in January 2021. The Spanish built tram carries overall advert for the Johnnie Walker “Join the Pact “ campaign to never drink and drive. In the distance is the city’s Playhouse Theatre while behind that is the tower of Greenside Church. Work continues on the Picardy Place roundabout beyond the tram - this will be the location of the new tramstop to replace York Place in 2023, when the extension to Leith and Newhaven opens. Tram 260 was first delivered to Gogar Depot on the 22nd May 2012. For news about all British tram systems, see the link below.
