Tundra plants, Victoria Island - a photo on Flickriver

Just because the high arctic lacks trees doesn't mean that the fall landscape can't be beautiful and colourful. On the south coast of Victoria Island, Nunavut, I photographed these tundra plants with Christmasy colours included bright red bearberry, green locoweed, a few golden dwarf willow and some bright orange lichens.
