Gold glass fragment depicting the goddess Roma

            Gilded glass fragment with the image of the goddess Roma, symbol of the city of #Rome. Discovered during construction of the Porta Metronia station, in ancient barracks destroyed during construction of the Aurelian Walls. She’s based on a depiction of an Amazon, with her bared breast, triple-plumed helmet, baltea (studded quiver belt across her chest), and pilus (javelin).
