Het Westerveldse Bos, ten noorden van Holtenbroek en de Aa-landen, ligt precies op de plek waar het Zwarte Water en de Vecht samenvloeien. 100 jaar geleden vond je hier alleen weilanden en vlakke gronden met gras en riet. Tot 1930, toen ‘Stortplaats Westerveld’ ontstond.

The Westerveldse Bos, north of Holtenbroek and the Aa-landen, is located exactly where the Zwarte Water and the Vecht converge. 100 years ago you could only find meadows and flat grounds with grass and reeds here. Until 1930, when 'Westerveld landfill' was created.
