The Pendennis show

A fascinating four hours downtown in a recently renovated hotel; six cellists in six rooms performing Bach's Six Suites. Excellent performances, totally different sounding instruments (including a five-string "cello piccolo"). Not just a music show, but a true Event that people will mention for years. A couple hundred patrons, excellent volunteers, and a really cool building.

I decided to stop calling the bathroom "John" and renamed it the "Jim". I feel so much better saying I went to the Jim this morning.

Un fascinant centre-ville de quatre heures dans l'hôtel Pendennis récemment rénové ; six violoncellistes dans six salles interprétant les Six Suites de Bach. Excellentes performances, instruments aux sonorités totalement différentes (dont un "violoncelle piccolo") à cinq cordes. Pas seulement un spectacle musical, mais un véritable événement dont les gens parleront pendant des années. Quelques centaines de clients, d'excellents bénévoles et un bâtiment vraiment intéressant.
