ÖBB 1116.147 Edlhausen (20218n)

            Aktuell gibt es in Bayern und in Tirol eine interessante Zugleistung zu beobachten. Werktags verkehrt der sogenannte Tübbingzug von Neumarkt in der Oberpfalz nach Steinach in Tirol. Beim Ladegut handelt es sich um die Innenschale des neuen Brenner-Basistunnels, die aus sogenannten Tübbingringen besteht. Jeder einzelne Ring setzt sich aus sechs Elementen und einem Sohlstein zusammen. Gefertigt werden diese von der Firma Max Bögl in Sengenthal. An ihren rund 365 Kilometer entfernten Bestimmungsort gelangen sie klimafreundlich auf der Schiene – transportiert von der RCG von der Oberpfalz auf direktem Weg bis zur Baustelle in Steinach am Brenner. Insgesamt werden 570.000 Tonnen Baumaterial transportiert, davon 530.000 Tonnen Tübbinge und 40.000 Tonnen Perlkies. Am 30. April 2025 konnte ich diese Leistung endlich einmal schön bei Edlhausen dokumentieren, als Zuglok fungierte die gepflegte 1116.147 der ÖBB. 

An interesting train service can currently be observed in Bavaria and Tyrol. On weekdays, the so-called Tübbingzug train runs from Neumarkt in the Upper Palatinate to Steinach in Tyrol. The cargo consists of the inner shell of the new Brenner Base Tunnel, which is made up of so-called Tübbing rings. Each individual ring is made up of six elements and a base stone. These are manufactured by Max Bögl in Sengenthal, Germany. They are transported to their destination some 365 kilometres away in a climate-friendly manner by rail – transported by RCG from the Upper Palatinate directly to the construction site in Steinach am Brenner. A total of 570,000 tonnes of building material will be transported, including 530,000 tonnes of tubbings and 40,000 tonnes of pearl gravel. On 30 April 2025, I was finally able to document this transport near Edlhausen, with the well-maintained ÖBB 1116.147 locomotive pulling the train.
