Make a wish

            I caught a meteor while photographing the night sky from my camp in Sequoia National Forest.  There's a lot of ambient light in this area in California, to the extent that even after the moon set, the sky seemed lit up.  This is in contrast to Yellowstone or Grand Teton National Parks, where you could barely even see your hand if it were in front of your face at night.
