Mellow is the word here. Really beautiful and attractive cake but the taste was rather subtle. My brother asked me if appearance matches the taste and my reply was that it could use a tad more of both sweet potato and chestnut flavours as I tasted more cake than the 2 highlighted ingredients. The Swiss roll wasn’t as fluffy as advertised as well although the texture wasn’t offending. 

Style over substance unfortunately.
