The Way We Were: Duchess of Hamilton 1996

            The National Railway Museum's 'Princess Coronation' No. 46229 'Duchess of Hamilton' passes through Uttoxeter on 8th June 1996 heading  Pathfinder Tours 'The York Royale'; this is the return working of the charter that worked outwards from Swansea to York, with the steam section from York to Crewe via Derby and Stoke on Trent. This shot simply cannot be repeated as 'Duchess of Hamilton' has now been re-streamlined and banged up in the National Railway Museum at York, with no onward plans for restoration to main line operations.
