EMD SD45X 5740 IHB Riverdale, IL - a photo on Flickriver

            The 5740 was one of seven SD45X's built by EMD.  It had 4200 hp and a flat rear end instead of tapered.  It's seen here with traveling mate 462.  The 5740 was the last SD45X to survive, but it was eventually scrapped, too.  How sad to lose such a fine piece of history.
