Fogbow over Spitsbergen - a photo on Flickriver

This is a fogbow, caused by the sunlight reflecting off the smaller particles of moisture. It is also know as a white rainbow. en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Fog_bow It was beautiful to see and was with us for about 20 minutes. The kittiwakes were very obliging by flying close to the boat. As this was taken with wide angle, they were very close!
