Parque Natural de Sanabria - a photo on Flickriver

            SOTILLO DE SANABRIA (Espanha): Cascata de Sotillo.

A cascata de Sotillo é uma das atrações naturais do Parque Natural de Sanabria, na província de Zamora, Espanha. É um salto de água de 20 metros de altura que se forma a partir do lago glacial de Sotillo, situado a 1600 metros de altitude. Para chegar à cascata, é preciso seguir um trilho circular de 7 quilómetros que parte da aldeia de Sotillo de Sanabria e atravessa um denso bosque de carvalhos, castanheiros, bétulas e azevinhos. A cascata oferece um espetáculo impressionante, especialmente na primavera e no outono, quando o caudal é maior e as cores do bosque se destacam. A cascata de Sotillo é um dos lugares mais belos e emblemáticos do parque natural de Sanabria, que alberga o maior lago natural da Península Ibérica e uma grande biodiversidade de flora e fauna.
