Into the Yellowstone Valley - a photo on Flickriver

            While watching the MRL work train I saw the coal empty that had been parked west of Huntley depart and head up the Big Horn Sub. Action. I headed east then south on Fly Creek Road to record at least one set of them on the Big Horn. I like this spot where the line is climbing in steps away from the Yellowstone. Afternoon clouds were forming and making the lighting touch and go. I waited until I was certain the train should have showed, and then waited a little more. No joy, this location 809 miles from Lincoln, NE, would have to stay on the wish list as I started a backtrack to Huntley. September 7, 2023.
