The Robin in winter #10 - a photo on Flickriver

            This subspecies of the Robin (erithacus rubecula melophilus) is native to Britain and is one of the most approachable birds due to the way it shares the suburban environment with us. As such it will tolerate human presence. This adult was photographed from a range of less then four feet.

I took about 150 shots in total over a 10 minute period.
