Early model Maurice Farman pusher biplane probably driven by a rotary engine [France, ca. 1910]

            It is rather difficult to pinpoint errcatly the early biplanes of Maurice Farman. This machine is in the early range due to the rudder being in front. The sturdy connection of the upfront elevator can be clearly seen.

It seems this machines predates the popular M.F.7 pusher biplane. The nacelle is very sparse, but the pilot had at least a form of wind screen in front. The engine could be some rotary engine model. Special as most of the early Maurice Farman biplanes were powered by Renault water-cooled engines. So a slight mystery.

No information about the man in the nacelle and the date or location. Nothing written on the reverse of this picture.
