B-17 Bombardier Station - a photo on Flickriver

            This is a view looking forward into the nose of a B-17 bomber. Just in front of the chair, you can see the famed "Norden Bomb Site". The bombardier looked through this device to locate the target, then engaged the aircraft auto pilot to fly the plane over the target.

This particular B-17 is the "Nine o nine", and was recently on display at Stinson Field in San Antonio, TX
