Los leones y nuestro campamento - a photo on Flickriver

            Muy cerca de nuestro campamento se encontraba esta pareja de leones jóvenes que acababan de cazar un facocero.  
Habíamos subido al vehículo que nos llevaría a recorrer de nuevo el parque en busca de las mejores escenas de vida salvaje cuando nos hicieron bajar porque alguien había visto a lo lejos una acción de caza. Desde la misma zona de acampada se podían ver los leones pero a gran distancia, de modo que subimos al vehículo de nuevo y nos acercaron, dando un rodeo, a esta impresionante escena. Permanecimos allí media hora,  con la puerta del vehículo abierta, a pocos metros de los leones. 
En esta imagen se ve el tejado cónico de la cocina. Al lado, ocultas por la loma, estaban nuestras tiendas.
Estábamos en su territorio.
