Beach Hut No. 23, Southend-on-Sea DSC05811

            One of the hundreds of beach huts on the beach and walkway above in Southend-on-Sea and part of my Beach Hut Project. These wooden huts, the lease for which costs thousands of pounds to buy, are privately owned. Whilst they cannot be used for sleeping in, owners and their families usually fit them out with small kitchens and a table/chairs for the summer months. Such huts are a feature of many seaside towns in the UK. For some reason Number 23 is the first one...
