Winter Sunset at Granite Basin Lake - a photo on Flickriver

            "Winter Sunset at Granite Basin Lake:" I barely made it in time before they closed the gates to access Granite Basin Lake the other day in order to capture a sunset. The sun itself was just beginning to dip below the hills in the distance, while still illuminating the highest peaks of Granite Mountain and the tips of the cat-tails in the foreground, which incidentally also had left lots of little specks of seed fluff across the surface of the lake.  The clouds were moving swiftly across this scene as they began to clear out completely following our last snow system that moved through the area. It was very cold, but I savored every bit of slight warmth that the sun provided while I could.
