RD11846. No.9 at Burmarsh Road. - a photo on Flickriver

            RD11846.   The 15 inch gauge Romney, Hythe & Dymchurch Railway's Pacific No.9 WINSTON CHURCHILL races through Burmarsh Road between Dymchurch and Hythe.  

Although mechanically similar to the other Pacifics on the line, it has the appearance of a Canadian or American locomotive - but with buffers.  It was assembled in 1931 by the Yorkshire Engine Company in Sheffield using some parts originally built by Davey Paxman in Colchester.
