Yellow-crowned Night-Heron (Nyctanassa violacea)—juvenile

            Seen along the edge of the Guaya River, Guayaquil, Ecuador. I love the markings on the side of this bird, it's almost like musical notes. Plus it has yellow legs the same color as the markings and bright red eyes. I've been informed that this is a juvenile with the bright markings.
