Yotam - a photo on Flickriver

The building looked totally shabby and deserted from the outside, but when I climbed up the stairs, I found a lovely view from the bar on top of that neglected building.
I've never noticed the roof patio existed, although I have been walking past the building many, many times in the past.

I was greeted by a friendly young man who invited me in to have a look of the surroundings. I was really surprised at the size of the bar, the sunny terrace, the old tiles and the stained glass windows. I couldn't quite believe that such an old & shabby building still had a pearl or two in it.

Yotam, 23 y/o, said that he had been working there for about a month.
As we talked I asked whether he'd like to participate in my ongoing photo project. He said yes, but he added that he was not photogenic. I told him not to worry about that and that I really found him good looking and yes, photogenic, too.

Yotam's message to the world is:
"Do not sweat over the big things, find out what are the small details, learn to know your fellow human beings who are close to you."

The advice he would give to his younger self is:
"Move slowly, don't rush too fast!"

As we were getting to know each other, a colleague showed up and they embraced in a friendly way.

After Yotam wrote down his email address in my notebook, I asked him what were his plans for the future.
He didn't really quite know the answer, so I suggested he'd study and do something meaningful with his life.
"You're still so young, but life passes too fast, trust me, don't waste it," I urged him and he smiled and said that he accepted my motherly advice with love.
