Oleg in large and in charge - a photo on Flickriver

            La partie russe de l’équipe se prépare pour sa sortie extravéhiculaire demain. Avec les bandes rouges sur son scaphandre, Oleg a l’air serein comme le veteran qu’il est. Le duo va travailler à l’extérieur du module MLM pour continuer à l’intégrer au reste de la station : c’est la première EVA d’une longue série ! La sortie commencera à 16h30 (heure de Paris) et Mark sera là pour les aider à sortir, espérons qu'il rappelle à Piotr d'enlever ses chaussons 😁 Pendant ce temps, le reste de l’équipage continuera à décharger le Dragon et à faire tourner les expériences scientifiques 📦💪 Le plus drôle pendant une sortie, c’est qu’on entend le déplacement des collègues depuis l’intérieur, avec leurs longes, leur scaphandre ou leurs équipements qui s’entrechoquent légèrement sur les parois métalliques de la station… On peut les suivre à l’oreille, c’est une drôle d’impression !

Russian spacewalk prep for tomorrow's sortie. Oleg large and in charge with his red stripes. We will remind Pyotr to take off his slippers before going out 😊. The dynamic duo will be working outside on MLM in the first of many spacewalks to continue integration of the new module. They leave our Station for the outside of space at 16:30 European time, with Mark helping them during the spacewalk. Meanwhile we will be doing Cargo Dragon cargo moving and science! Interestingly we can hear and follow along with a spacewalk just by listening to the sounds they make as equipment or the spacesuits touch the hull of the Space Station!
