Northern Stargazer (Astroscopus guttatus) [closeup]

            Photographed along the shoreline near North Beach (northern most, natural beach section) located at Sandy Hook National Park, Highlands,  Nj. Taken on October 4, 2008.

*As you can see he wasn't the friendliest of fish, especially when I tried picking him up to send him back to the ocean from which he came. He wasn't the lightest nor the easiest to move around. I made the mistake of accidentally touching his forehead which resulted in a quick electric zap. Nothing really painful, just numbing.
