Chesterfield 46 (A46 YWJ) - a photo on Flickriver

            Having become quite boring and mainstream in the late 1970s with the purchase of Leyland Nationals, Chesterfield's single-deck fleet had again become the home of quirkiness in the 1980s, with the arrival of two batches of Dennis Falcons. The first four in 1983 had East Lancs bodies, similar to some other municipal buys, but the second five for 1984 had Marshall Camair 80 bodies, which created a unique combination. 

That still didn't make them reliable though ! They only lasted 7 years here, and were sold to Mayne's at Manchester in 1991, who nearly matched that length of service, running them all until late 1997.
