Oak Harbor Glory, Whidbey Island - a photo on Flickriver

            The beauty of the evening matched our mood.  In July, I went to Whidbey race week in Oak Harbor.  As part of the intrepid crew of Grace E (a J-35 racing sailboat), we did well in a weeks worth of racing.  It was our best showing ever.  After celebrating with the rest of the crew I walked along the docks, and the clouds opened with a nod of approval.
I left this image a little dark since that added some drama, and brought out the silhouette of the birds on the piling.  It was a tough shot, trying to get a clean exposure off a floating dock, but I am overall happy with the result.
