The tempest begains, fury unleashed, wrath which knows no bounds !

            The first of the storms that this time of year brings to us. We are transitioning from the summer weather to the fall and winter. The wind pattern changes from a southwest to northwest. They will start coming in off the gulf of Alaska and down across southern Canada into the great lakes. This is what gives us the infamous Alberta clippers.
This one went through and left a trail of damage and death. One of the persons I worked with for most of my career lost his daughter yesterday. She was crushed by a falling tree ( a huge one ), it also destroyed both the family cars, the garage and did substantial damage to the home. it's 75 MPH winds left a trail of damage all through the area and knocked out electrical service and communications for a good part of the 30th of August. 
We will be subjected to the possibility of more storms as we progress into autumn. These wreak havoc out on the lakes.
They have spun ships right around in circles like a top. an actual reported incident on the upper lakes.
