            This is one of my favorite stops along the road trip up the West Coast of the South Island. I stop here in Hawea and do a bit of random hiking... it's one of the most beautiful lakes here and it's just crazy how people only live on about 1% of the lake. The rest of it is wild and feels like it could have been the same way tens of thousands of years ago... it probably was!
