DB 101 038-8 @ Dattenberg - a photo on Flickriver

De volgende cargo die we op woensdag 29 maart 2023 te zien kregen op ons plekje in Dattenberg was evenwel weer een trein naar het zuiden.
Niet dat het geen mooie was: er stond namelijk een Prima van VFLI op kop van een homogene sleep VTG-kolenwagons (met extra opschrift Arcelor Mittal).
Maar ja, zuidgaande goederentreinen kan je in Dattenberg ook fotograferen bij zonnig weer.

Ondertussen was het inrijsein van Linz am Rhein terug op veilig gesprongen. Zou het?

Neen, weer geen goederentrein, maar met deze prachtige EuroCity was het ook geen straf om dit plekje nog eens vast te leggen. Bemerk trouwens dat het eerste rijtuig gemoderniseerd is.

We besloten na het nemen van deze foto nog eens even te verhuizen en gingen via de trap naar de bushalte beneden aan de straat. Dat hadden we evenwel beter niet gedaan...

The next freight train we saw on Wednesday the 29th of March during our excursion to the Rhine valley, was again a southbound cargo, with a beauriful Prima of VFLI in front of it. Not really that what we were hoping for, but the entrance signal of Linz am Rhein switched once again to green. Could it be?

No it wasn't a freight train, but this EuroCity (look a the the first refurbished carriage!) was also a nice one, especially with the Panorama Car clear visible in second position.
