Pyre - a photo on Flickriver

            While I would like to say something eloquent with this something like this photo, the words always seem to escape me.
When we have one of the herd die, we cannot bury them here.  We have bears, and wild dogs who would dig them up and scatter them around after they had thier fill.  Instead of leaving them in the cold hard ground to moulder and decay, we burn them.
This is a hard lesson learned.  I have had the task of doing this more than once, and have gained a bit of knowledge in the process of learning this skill.
This however is the first I had to teach others to build for me.
All things considered, they did the job well.
