Bird on the Smoke on the Water - a photo on Flickriver

            Whether stepping alone across a wet meadow or filling the sky by the hundreds and thousands, Sandhill Cranes have an elegance that draws attention. Like many of its kin, this Sandhill Crane flying along the foggy Seneca River in Baldwinsville, N.Y., is migrating south to warmer climate. Sandhill Cranes typically spend their winters in California, as well as anywhere between Arizona and Florida.
