Palo Alto Gamble Gardens - a photo on Flickriver

            Pictures taken at Palo Alto's Gamble Gardens.

Experimenting with fill flash by using patient subjects.  

It was a full, sunny afternoon with lots of hard shadows.  Good to experiment with settings.

In the end, I was able to get decent results by setting manual exposure by sunny 16 rules and letting the flash fire by PTTL settings.  Big hassle with handling deep shadows and with pointing the flash while using it all hand-held.

Taken with the Pentax K10D camera using the SMC PENTAX-DA 1:2.8 35mm Macro Limited lens.  Off-camera flash used with tether to provide full PTTL function.
