Freight first - a photo on Flickriver

Freight first

            A late evening freight train, here looking to be passing through ahead of the East Coast passenger service behind lead by Driving Van Trailer (DVT) number 82227 with locomotive Class 91, 91116, powering the train for London Kings Cross here arriving at Doncaster behind the Freightliner Intermodal service with locomotive number 66594 leading the train, one of its Class 66 locomotives, in its yellow and green livery the intermodal train 4L79 from Wilton F.L.T in the north east to Felixstowe North F.L.T which is loaded with containers for shipping form the north east to the port of Felixstowe near Ipswich and onwards by ship across the world. So a different style of photograph from me here and something not often seen within railway photography the front on shot of not only a locomotive but a passenger train as well showing very little of the railway vehicles involved but certainly something I like. Here the Class 66 runs down platform 1 the passenger train routed into platform 3 both of which heading south from the station the passenger train getting the road first while 4L79 stopped in platform 1 for around 2 minutes. Doncaster is a well known station and many train spotters seem to come here in mass certainly sometimes providing entertaining just listening to some things that are said between them but not a place I like to photograph trains at as many of the available shots are so recognisable now.
