Fälensee Sunrise

            Lake Fälensee certainly is one of the most beautiful lakes in Switzerland. It is surrounded by the sheer cliffs of the Alpstein Mountains, sheltering the still waters from any wind that might disturb the perfect reflection.

It is reached by a rather strenuous 2hrs hike through a very steep ravine or alternatively, from one of the surrounding mountains by an at least as steep descent.

Fortunately, the mountain Guesthouse Bollenwees is located on its eastern shore, providing the exhausted hiker excellent food and a comfortable bed for an overnight stay.

Of course, I did not stay in bed for a long time. After a very chilly night shooting, I crashed into my bed at 1:30am and had to get up again at 5am to capture the sunrise.
