I've been looking to truly replace my 1DIIn ever since it died back in 2016. The 1DC is a fantastic camera, but I've really been missing that 1.3x crop factor advantage on my telephoto lenses for event coverage.

I had ruled out the 1DIIn since it was too old, and the 1DIII due to AF issues. In addition, their lower resolution meant I had less pixels to work with than if I just simply applied a 1.3x crop in post on my 1DC. So the hunt for a Mark IV began.

I found this low usage 1D IV locally for a great price. I haven't had the chance to do a ton of testing with it yet, but I have noticed its AF is less accurate than my 1DC or my 1DIIn was. There's also a lot of AF customization settings, so perhaps I just need to dial it in. I like the files out of it though. Great colors, nice detail, and good dynamic range.
