After our morning session at June Lake, I stumbled upon a beautiful scene while driving back to the loop road. I am still unsure what drew me to this image, but it seemed like the perfect fall morning scene. The warm light on the mountains, the serene water, and the pine trees all made it feel like one of those chilly mornings in the mountain town of Eastern Sierras. Though June Lake can be crowded during the summer and fall seasons, early mornings are usually quiet. On this day, as we drove up to the beach, we had everything to ourselves. These days, it is quite rare to get solitude, even during sunrise, so I relished the little time I had walking around and finding compositions. To me this image perfectly captured the quiet morning I had at June Lake that day.
