Sailing to the winter - a photo on Flickriver

            Kaliningrad or Koenigsberg, the former capital of Eastern Prussia barely survived WWII. Almost destroyed by english airstrikes and russian assault it weren't fully restored after the war. This is island Kneiphof at the heart of the city. When I was there in beginning of 80s there were only walls of this cathedral. Only tomb of Immanuel Kant saved this cathedral from being fully destroyed. It was rebuilt with two organs in beginning of 90s, but Kneiphof, full of life and buildings before WWII remains empty.
