Savannah Sparrow in last light. - a photo on Flickriver

            Taken in Newfoundland, Canada, May 12, 2009.

I managed to find this little guy just a few minutes before the light set behind our mountains.  unfortunately i had the camera set to manual when i saw this sparrow.  i got excited and just reamed off a few bursts without thinking about exposure!  fortunatly, i was shooting RAW and was at ISO 200.  i was able to bring the image up in NX2 a stop and a bit to get what you see here.  this is a substantial crop, maybe only about 20-30% of the original image.  i though it stood up well considering! 

my only nits are the OOF stick over the right foot and the blade of foilage running behind the body.
