Towering 8124 - a photo on Flickriver

Towering 8124

            We all took turns at the Virginia Dale Community Church potty behind their rebuilding so after we sidelined our Laramie UP trek there for that and the curious cemetery we headed north up over the hill and down into Wyoming. There at Tie Siding we headed up the hill to the Sherman Hill tunnel downgrade but there was too much time left on the hill... so we waited. Even that spot picked up a load of traffic after we pointed our vehicles downhill for a quick bail. 

Union Pacific had trains to move while we waited and waited while folks continually checked their cells for the progress of the rebuilt steamers from Cheyenne. This UP & Chessie drag was on the uphill grade from Laramie east to the tunnel but who knows where it will be held when the steamers push through on mainline. The signal tower is reflecting the bright morning sun. My cousin confuses the word steamers with his doggy leftovers in his back yard.
