Lemon Sighting

            The Big Lemon, a small Brighton-based operator, is reportedly interested in taking on some routes in the Bristol area, following the recent demise of Bristol Community Transport/CT Plus.

Just by chance I spotted one of their Optare Solos parked up in Broad Weir while walking along Castle Park. I managed a quick snap of it from the walls, but it got spooked and departed before I could get any closer for a better shot...

The Solo itself has had quite a life as it was new to Veolia Cymru but has also worked for Watts in South Wales and Scarlet Band in the North East, before continuing life on the south coast.

(Edit) As of 03/10/2022 it's been announced Big Lemon are taking over routes 505/506 and 515/516 in the city, so I assume this Solo was here for some route training.
