            Located at an elevation of around one thousand meters, this temple is situated in Chainpur Kot, to the northwest from Salwas Bazaar. The temple's name holds an intriguing tale. According to local folklore recounted by Lekhnath Lohni of Chainpur, during a cold spell, people took shelter in a house belonging to a local Gidele Magar. As fire erupted inside, they hastily exited, and miraculously, flames followed them outside. Instead of burning the surrounding area, the fire left a peculiar stone intact. People interpreted this event as a manifestation of Devi Shakti, as some dreamt of seeing the goddess in the house's radish patch. Believing it to be a sacred sign, they elevated the stone to a higher position and began worshiping it, eventually naming it Anakanya Devi. Over time, the temple came to be known as Anakanya Devi's abode. Legend has it that Anakanya Devi prefers to be worshiped in the highest part of Chainpur, which led to relocating settlements to the upper part of Kot Bazaar, believing it to be the most auspicious location for her worship. After the relocation, the temple was established at its current site, and using the unearthed stone from Gidele Magar's land, the 92-year-old priest Goman Singh Gindel Magar crafted an idol for worship.
